Create gradient swatches

Learn how to create and save custom gradient swatches to reuse in Adobe Illustrator.
Select the Type of gradient you want to apply from the Gradient panel.
Select New Swatch icon from the Swatches panel to save the gradient.
Note
To add a gradient to the Swatches panel, select the dropdown menu next to the Gradient box and select Add to Swatches or drag the gradient fill from the Fill box in the tool panel or the Color panel to the Swatches panel.
In the New Swatch dialog, enter the name in the Swatch Name field and set options as desired.
Select OK.
