Duplicate pages and spreads

Learn how to use the Pages panel options in Adobe InDesign to create copies at specific locations in your document.

Duplicate pages or spreads to reuse layouts while preserving objects, text threads, and parent pages. Duplicates can appear next to the original or at the end of the document, with multi-page spreads retaining their grouping and shuffle behavior.

Duplicate immediately after the source

In the Pages panel (Window > Pages), select the page or spread you want to duplicate.

Select the Pages panel menu   icon and select one of the options:

  • Duplicate Page: Duplicates a single page.
  • Duplicate Spread: Duplicates an entire spread.

Duplicate at the end of the document

In the Pages panel (Window > Pages), select the page or spread you want to duplicate.

Select the Pages panel menu   icon and select one of the options:

  • Duplicate Page at End of Document: Duplicates a single page.
  • Duplicate Spread at End of Document: Duplicates an entire spread.
