Manage page and section numbering in a book
Deselect Automatically Update Page & Section Numbers.
Select OK to apply the changes.
Update numbering manually in a book
Select the Pages panel menu icon and then select Update Numbering > Update All Numbers to update page numbering manually.
To update certain items, select Update Numbering and select either Update Page & Section Numbers or Update Chapter & Paragraph Numbers.
