Learn how to place multiple images in a grid layout for pre-press analysis and review in Adobe InDesign.
Contact sheets display images as thumbnails in a grid for easy review and comparison. InDesign can create simple contact sheets by placing multiple images in a grid. To access advanced PDF contact sheet options, use the Adobe Output Module in Adobe Bridge.
Ctrl-click (Windows) or Command-click (macOS) to select multiple images, then select Open.
Tip
Select Show Import Options in the Place dialog box, then review and adjust import settings for the images in the subsequent dialog boxes.
Position and drag the pointer.
While dragging, press the Up or Down arrow keys to adjust rows and the Left or Right arrow keys to adjust columns.
Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Command (macOS) while pressing the arrow keys to adjust spacing between frames.
Release the pointer to place the grid of images.
