Resolve Adobe InDesign crash issue while working with remote libraries stored on a network drive or a shared location.

InDesign may crash or become unresponsive when working with library files (.indl) stored on a network drive or shared location. This issue typically occurs when opening libraries, dragging items, or interacting with library content accessed remotely.

Corrupted local cache files disrupt access to network-stored libraries

Close InDesign.

Open File Explorer (Windows) or open Finder (macOS).

Select View > Show > Hidden items (Windows) or select Go > (hold Option) > Library (macOS).

Navigate to the Adobe InDesign cache location. For example, under AppData (Windows) or Caches (macOS).

Locate and delete InDesign cache files.

Restart your system.

Launch InDesign and check if the issue is resolved.
