Issues sharing documents for review

Resolve issues while sharing Adobe InDesign documents for review.

The following solutions address the most common causes of sharing and loading failures, listed in order of likelihood and ease of implementation. Test after each solution to determine if the issue is resolved before proceeding to the next step.

Issue resolving login credentials

Select Help > Sign Out in InDesign or the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

Wait for a few minutes and then launch InDesign Sign In.

Sign In with your Adobe ID credentials.

Share the document for review.

CoreSync folder issues

Quit InDesign and the Creative Cloud Desktop application completely.

Rename the CoreSync folder at C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Sync\ (Windows) or ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/ (macOS).

Restart the Creative Cloud Desktop application to regenerate the folder and launch InDesign.

Share the document for review.

CEP folder issues

Quit InDesign and the Creative Cloud Desktop application completely.

Rename the CEP folder at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ (Windows) or ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/ (macOS).

Restart the Creative Cloud Desktop application to regenerate the folder and launch InDesign.

Share the document for review.

UXP folder issues

Quit InDesign and the Creative Cloud Desktop application completely.

Rename the UXP folder at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ (Windows) or ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/ (macOS)

Restart the Creative Cloud Desktop application to regenerate the folder and launch InDesign.

Share the document for review.

Creative Cloud desktop application isn’t installed properly

Quit InDesign and the Creative Cloud Desktop application completely.

Uninstall InDesign from Creative Cloud Desktop application. If you have multiple Adobe applications installed, you must uninstall all of them before the Creative Cloud Desktop application can be completely removed. Consider backing up application preferences and custom settings before uninstalling.

Uninstall Creative Cloud Desktop application.

Wait for a few minutes and install Creative Cloud Desktop application.

Launch Creative Cloud Desktop application and install InDesign.
