Open an InDesign document and select File > Publish Online.
Learn how to publish Adobe InDesign documents online for easy sharing, updates, and browser-based viewing.
Publish Online converts print-ready documents into web-based publications that open in standard browsers on any device. It supports interactive elements such as buttons, slideshows, animations, audio, and video while preserving layout fidelity. Ensure that you have an internet connection and an InDesign document ready for publication.
Select the General tab to add the Title, Description, Pages, Export As, or Enable Password Protection.
Select the Advanced tab to add the following information, such as Cover Thumbnail, Image Settings, Download PDF Settings, etc.
Select the Analytics tab to link your Google Analytics account to your published document.
Select Export HTML5 Package if you want to export your InDesign document as an HTML5 package.
Select Publish to publish your document online. If you are republishing an existing document, select Update Existing Document and select an existing document from the drop-down list.
Select File > Publish Online Dashboard to view the list of published documents. You can also set up Google Analytics for your published documents.
Use a verified Adobe ID to publish an InDesign document. Unverified users can't publish InDesign documents. Also, when you embed a password-protected document with multiple pages, you’ll need to re-enter the password each time you switch pages using the dropdown menu.
