Learn how to use the arrow keys while dragging to create equally spaced frames in rows and columns in Adobe InDesign.
Use frame-creation tools in InDesign to generate structured grid layouts by adjusting rows, columns, and spacing as you draw without duplicating and positioning each frame manually.
Drag to start creating your frame.
While holding down the mouse button, press the following:
- Right Arrow key: To increase the number of columns.
- Left Arrow key: To decrease the number of columns.
- Down Arrow key: To increase the number of rows.
- Up Arrow key: To decrease the number of rows.
Hold down Ctrl (Windows) or Command (macOS) while pressing the arrow keys to adjust the gutter spacing between frames.
Release the mouse button.
