Restricted shared links are accessible | InDesign and XD

When the administrator resets Asset Settings to No restrictions, any links that were shared using Adobe InDesign or Adobe XD before restrictions were applied become accessible again.

Background

When administrators select No Public Link Sharing or Sharing Only to Domain Users in the Asset Settings, existing public links become inaccessible. Users with these links can no longer access the linked content. The expected behavior for these links is that they cease to function indefinitely, and not become active again.

The issue is that the previously shared links become active on removing sharing restrictions.

Solution

Adobe is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it for both applications in a future update.
