Remove objects and fill the area with Content-Aware Fill

Learn how to remove objects from your images and fill the area with the surrounding pixels in Adobe Photoshop.

Make a selection around the object using a selection tool, like Object Selection tool, Quick Selection tool, or Magic Wand tool.

Right-click inside the selection and choose Content-Aware Fill.

Adjust the sampling area in the Content-Aware Fill workspace to control which pixels are used for the fill.

Select OK to replace the object with surrounding pixels.
