Learn how to sharpen specific areas in Adobe Photoshop by enhancing edge contrast with the Sharpen tool.
In the Options bar, set up your tool:
- Select Toggle Brush Settings panel > Brush Settings to adjust the brush Size and Hardness.
- Drag the Strength slider to control sharpening intensity.
- Select Protect Detail to minimize pixelation.
- Select Sample All Layers to sharpen based on all visible layers or leave unchecked to sharpen only the active layer.
Drag over the areas you want to sharpen, and the effect builds with each stroke.
