Description

Enable Preserve Details 2.0 Upscale

On

Photoshop features artificial intelligence-assisted upscaling to preserve important details and textures while resizing images without introducing distortions. This feature preserves harder-edged details like text and logos in addition to skin tones and hair textures. Try it on soups, salads, pizza, and any other subjects that need that extra dash of texture preservation.

Select Image > Image Size and select Preserve Details 2.0 from Resample options to use the feature.

Off

Activate this tool to make paths or shapes following the edges in an image.

Select the Content-Aware Tracing Tool from the toolbar to use it. If you cannot find it grouped with other Pen tools, you may need to add the tool using the Customize Toolbar option. Select Use Graphics Processor in Photoshop > Settings > Performance (macOS) or Edit > Settings > Performance (Windows), to turn this feature on.

Precise color management for HDR display (macOS)

On

This macOS option allows the display of HDR content on HDR-capable monitors. It requires the GPU to be enabled in Photoshop > Settings > Performance (macOS) or Edit > Settings > Performance (Windows). This mode will have no effect on non-HDR display hardware.

Precise previews for 16-bit documents

On

Use this feature to upgrade cache fidelity to 16-bit previews when editing 16- or 32-bit depth images. This improves preview accuracy at zoom levels of 63% or less.

Restart Photoshop for the change to take effect.

Open JPEG without Background layer

Off

Use this feature to open JPEG documents as a regular layer instead of a constrained background layer. This changes takes effect immediately without needing to restart Photoshop.

Enable Modern User Interface

On

This modifies the appearance of some control bars and dialogs to be more consistent with other Creative Cloud applications through the adoption of Spectrum, the multi-platform design system from Adobe. Restart Photoshop for the change to take effect.
