Learn how to turn the background into a regular layer and vice versa in Adobe Photoshop.
Convert the background to a regular layer
Select Layer > New > Layer From Background from the menu.
In the dialog box, name the layer if desired, then select OK to complete the conversion.
Convert the regular layer to the background
Select the layer you want to convert from the Layers panel.
Select Layer > New > Background From Layer.
