Last updated on Oct 27, 2025

Learn how to add and remove panels to customize your workspace in Adobe Photoshop.

Photoshop panels contain essential tools and settings that enhance your workflow. By adjusting which panels are visible and their arrangement, you can create a workspace suited to your needs.

Add panels

Select Window from the menu bar.

Select a panel to add to the workspace. The panel appears in the workspace, and a checkmark indicates that it is visible.

Remove panels

Select Window from the menu bar.

Select the panel name to remove it from the workspace.

You can also right-click (Windows) or Control-click (macOS) its tab and select Close.

Tip

If you remove all panels from a dock, the dock disappears. To create a dock, move panels to the right edge of the workspace until a drop zone appears.
