Export your work using the Quick Export as option

Learn how to save your work in Adobe Photoshop in your preferred image format quickly and output it without adjusting settings each time.

Use Quick Export as command to save your Photoshop work in your preferred format in one step. It applies your saved settings, so you export fast and consistently, and it's ideal when you need assets with the same specs repeatedly.

Export instantly

Select the content:

  • To export the entire document, select File > Export > Quick Export as (image format).
  • To export specific layers, select them in the Layers panel, right-click, and then select Quick Export as (image format).

Select the destination folder if prompted for a location (when preferences are set to Ask where to export each time).

Enter a filename and then select Save.

Set preferences (one-time setup)

Select Edit > Preferences > Export (Windows) or Photoshop > Preferences > Export (macOS).

Select your Quick Export Format: PNG, JPG, or GIF.

Set format options: For PNG, Transparency or Smaller File (8-bit). For JPG, Quality.

Select the Quick Export Location. Ask where to export each time, or Export files to an assets folder next to the current document.

Select Quick Export Metadata to include Copyright and Contact Info.

Decide on Color Space, to convert assets to sRGB or not.

Set Export As Location to current document’s location or the last used location.

(Optional) Enable Use legacy "Export As" for legacy Export As interface.

Select OK to save your preferences.
