Change adjustment and fill layer options

Learn how to edit adjustments and fill layers with improved Preset management in Photoshop.

Edit adjustment and fill layers

Adjustment and fill layers allow you to modify color, tone, and effects in a non-destructive way. You can edit the settings of these layers at any time or refine their masks to control where the adjustments appear on the image. By default, the entire adjustment or fill layer is unmasked, which means its effects are applied across the whole image.

Updated Adjustment Presets layout

The Adjustments Presets panel in Photoshop has been redesigned to make working with presets faster and more intuitive.

Simplified tabbed navigation: Switch easily between Presets and Single adjustments.

Enhanced Preset icons: Clearer, updated icons better represent the adjustments applied.

Organized Presets: Create and organize presets within groups, and customize them with drag-and-drop. Both default and user-created presets now appear under the Presets tab.

Improved Preset access: Use the updated flyout menu for easier access to saved presets.

With these updates, managing and applying adjustments is more streamlined, giving you greater flexibility in editing.
