Align layers

Learn how to align multiple layers in Adobe Photoshop instantly to create sharp, consistent designs for professional layouts, grids, or UI mock-ups.

Select two or more layers (or layer groups) from the Layers panel.

Select Layer > Align, and select any of the following:

  • Top Edges icon: Aligns the top edge of the selected layers to the highest pixel of the group or selection border.
  • Vertical Centers icon: Aligns the vertical center pixel of the selected layers to the center of the group or selection border.
  • Bottom Edges icon: Aligns the bottom edge of the selected layers to the lowest pixel of the group or selection border.
  • Left Edges icon: Aligns the left pixel of the selected layers to the left pixel of the group or selection border.
  • Horizontal Centers icon: Aligns the horizontal center pixel of the selected layers to the horizontal center pixel of the group or selection border.
  • Right Edges icon: Aligns the right pixel of the selected layers to the right edge of the group selection border.
