Adjust formatting with Dynamic Text
Learn how to create text layouts in Adobe Photoshop that automatically resize and reflow typography to fit the bounding box.
Dynamic Text allows you to create responsive text layouts that automatically resize and reflow as you adjust the bounding box. You can use this to design layouts where text needs to fit perfectly within specific dimensions.
Select Type > Convert to Dynamic Text to convert the text frame into a bounding box.
You can also select the Toggle Dynamic Text icon from the Options bar.
Select Window > Properties to open the Properties panel.
In the Dynamic Text section of the Properties panel, set the following options:
- Select the Set spacing between words dropdown to adjust the gap between words.
- Select the Set spacing between lines dropdown to adjust the gap between lines.
You can’t adjust Leading or convert right-to-left text to dynamic text.
Drag the corners or sides of the bounding box for the text to resize and reflow to fit the bounding box.
