Export your work with Content Credentials

Last updated on Oct 27, 2025

Learn how to add attribution details and edit history to your images by attaching Content Credentials when exporting from Adobe Photoshop.

Content Credentials allow you to attach attribution information and edit history to your exported images, providing transparency and helping you receive proper credit for your work.

Select File > Export > Export As.

Select JPG or PNG format, as these are the only formats that currently support Content Credentials.

Select one of the following options in the Content Credentials (Beta) section of the export dialog:

  • Publish to Content Credentials cloud: Keeps your file size smaller while making your credentials more resilient. This option stores your credentials in Adobe's public cloud storage, allowing recovery if they're stripped from your content.
  • Attach to file: Embeds the Content Credentials directly in your exported file. This increases file size but keeps your credentials more private. Note that attached credentials can be stripped when published online.
  • None: Doesn’t include Content Credentials with this export.

Configure your other export settings and select Export.
