Learn how to use Adjustment Presets in Photoshop to quickly preview, apply, and refine effects on your images..

Use Presets to preview and instantly change the appearance of your images with minimal effort.

Presets are available in the Adjustments panel. Hover over a preset thumbnail to preview its effect on your image before applying it. Once used, you can refine the preset further by editing its adjustments in the Properties panel.

The Adjustments panel includes default presets for Portraits, Landscape, Photo Repair, Creative, Black & White, and Cinematic images. These offer a quick starting point for creating polished images while saving time in complex editing workflows.

When you hover over a preset, its name and preview appear on the canvas. Selecting a preset displays the effect group in the Layers panel for easy management.

You can also switch how presets are displayed:

  • List View for a detailed, text-based view.
  • Grid View for thumbnail previews.

Use the icon in the Adjustments panel to toggle between the two views.
