Learn how to find and use particular font styles to speed up your workflow when using large font libraries in Adobe Photoshop.

Select the Horizontal Type tool or Vertical Type tool from the toolbar (Window > Tools).

Select the text layer where you want to apply the new font from the Layers panel.

Select Search and select fonts from the Options bar (Window > Options) and type the font name you want to use.

Filter the font list by Your fonts, More fonts, or select between the Show Adobe Fonts icon, Show Variable Fonts icon, Show favorite fonts icon, or Show similar fonts icon.

Tip

If multiple font variants, such as Regular, Italic, Bold, and Bold Italic, are available, they’re grouped under the same menu item. You can expand and select the desired variant.

Select a font style from the list.
