Use the Brush Settings panel to customize brushes in a few simple steps.  

Select Window > Brush Settings.

In the Brush Settings panel, select the checkbox beside each set, such as Scattering to turn them on or off.

Select a setting group name to view and customize settings like size, hardness, and spacing.

You can also select a tool, such as the Eraser or Clone Stamp , and then select Toggle the Brush Settings panel in the Options bar to open it.
