Last updated on Oct 27, 2025

Learn how to save artboards as PDF files in Adobe Photoshop, select single or multiple PDFs, and adjust quality and ICC profiles.

Select File > Export > Artboards To PDF.

In the Artboards To PDF dialog box:

  • Select destination location.
  • Enter a prefix in the File Name Prefix field.
  • Select either Artboard Contents Only or Include Overlapping Areas to control whether content outside the artboard is included in the PDF.
  • Select Export Selected Artboards to export only specific artboards.
  • Select Include Background In Export to add the artboard background to the generated PDF files.
  • Select Multi-Page Document to create one PDF with all artboards or Document Per Artboard to create separate PDFs using the prefix.
  • Select an encoding for the exported PDF: ZIP or JPEG. For JPEG, set the Quality value to a value between 0 to 12.
  • Select Include ICC Profile to embed the color profile in exported PDFs.
  • Select Include Artboard Name to add the artboard name to exported files. Customize the font, size, and canvas extension color.
  • Select Reverse Page Order to save the exported PDFs with artboards arranged from last to first.

Select Run to generate the PDF documents.
After export, your PDFs appear in the selected folder. A single file includes all artboards, while individual files use your set prefix.
