Choose a spot color

Select a spot color from libraries using the Adobe Color Picker in Adobe Photoshop.

Use the Color Picker to select spot colors from supported color libraries. Spot colors are premixed inks that ensure consistent reproduction in print. For accuracy, choose based on a printed swatch book.

Select Set foreground color or Set background color in the toolbox to open the Color Picker.

Select Color Libraries in the Color Picker. The Colors Libraries dialog box shows the closest match to your currently selected color.

Select the closest print color in the Color Libraries

In the Book menu, select a color library (for example: Trumatch, Focoltone, ANPA, HKS, or DIC). These libraries provide spot color systems for print.

You can also locate a color by entering the ink number or dragging the triangles along the scroll bar.

Select the desired color patch in the list to apply in the Color Picker.
