Paint a selection with the Quick Selection toolMake quick and precise selections in Photoshop by painting over the desired area with the Quick Selection tool.

Select the Quick Selection tool from the toolbar.

Select a selection mode from the Options bar: New selection , Add to selection , or Subtract from selection .

Select the following Brush settings from the pop-up menu.

  • Size: Adjust the diameter of the brush tip.
  • Hardness: Control the sharpness of the brush edges.
  • Spacing: Define the distance between brush marks in a stroke.
  • Angle: Rotate the brush tip to a specific angle.
  • Roundness: Change the shape of the brush tip by adjusting its roundness.
  • Size: Make the brush sensitive to pen pressure or stylus wheel.

Select the Size from the drop-down menu to adjust brush sensitivity.

Select the following settings to fine-tune the selection.

  • Sample All LayersCreate a selection based on all layers instead of just the currently selected layer.
  • Enhance Edge: Automatically improve the edges by making them smoother and more refined.

Paint over the desired area to expand the selection along defined edges.

Select Select and Mask to refine the selection further.
