Learn how to choose between different AI models to finetune generative results in Adobe Photoshop.
Select the area to add, remove, or modify content using Selection Brush or any other selection tool.
Select Generative Fill .
In the Contextual Task Bar, select an AI model:
- Adobe models: Firefly Fill & Expand, Firefly Image 3, Firefly Image 1
- Partner models: Gemini 3 (with Nano Banana Pro), Gemini 2.5 (Nano Banana), FLUX.2 pro, FLUX.1 Kontext [pro]
Enter a prompt and then select Generate .
Note
- Generative Fill and Generative Expand using Adobe Firefly models are standard features and will consume 1 credit per generation.
- Generative Fill, powered by partner AI models, are premium features:
- Gemini 3 (with Nano Banana Pro) = 40 credits
- Gemini 2.5 (Nano Banana) = 10 credits
