Use Firefly Boards with Photoshop

Learn how to send cloud documents or local PSD files from Photoshop to Firefly Boards to explore ideas, create variations, and continue editing workflows.

Send a local PSD file to Firefly Boards

Select File > Open to browse and open a local PSD file.

Select Share > Send to Firefly Boards, and the file is uploaded to Adobe Cloud as a cloud document (PSDC).

Choose an existing Boards file or create a new one. 

Select Open in Boards to send the uploaded PSDC file to Firefly Boards.

Note

Select File > Export, then Send to Firefly Boards to share local PSD and PSDC files to Firefly Boards.

Send a cloud document to Firefly Boards

Select File > Open to browse and open a PSDC file.

Note

For cloud documents, you can access Firefly Boards from the Photoshop home screen, the Share panel, and the Export menu.

Select Share > Send to Firefly Boards

Choose an existing Boards file or create a new one. 

Select Open in Boards to send PSDC files to Firefly Boards.

Send multiple layers to Boards

In Photoshop on desktop, select File > Open to browse and open an image.

In the Layers panel, select the layers you want to send to Firefly Boards.

Right-click the selected layers, then Send layers to Firefly Boards.

Select an existing Boards file or create a new one, then Open in Boards to send the selected layers to Firefly Boards. 

Tip

When working with generated variations, select Ideate in Firefly Boards from the More options menu   to continue exploring ideas in Firefly Boards.

Open a Board variation in Photoshop

In Firefly Boards, select an image and right-click it.

Select Open in Photoshop. The image opens as a new document.
