Share and collaborate on Creative Cloud Libraries

Last updated on Oct 22, 2026

Learn how to invite collaborators with edit or view permissions to use shared library assets in Adobe Illustrator.

Sharing Creative Cloud Libraries lets you collaborate with team members and stakeholders while you control who can edit or view your design assets. Shared libraries sync automatically across all Adobe applications, ensuring everyone works with the latest versions.

Use these procedures to manage libraries you own or access shared libraries. Before sharing, make sure your library contains the assets you want to collaborate on. You need an Adobe Creative Cloud account to share libraries or accept invitations.

Share a library with collaborators

In the Libraries panel, select a library.

Select the panel menu and select Invite people.

On the Share Library page, enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
You can share your libraries with other users for them to view, edit, use, rename, move, or delete the contents of the shared library. If another Creative Cloud subscriber has shared a library with you, you can further share it with other Creative Cloud users.

Share libraries with collaborators by inviting them via email and choosing their access level.

From the permissions dropdown, select Can Edit to allow full editing access, or Can view & use to provide read-only access.

Add an optional message in the message field.

Select Invite to edit/ Invite to view and use.

Users with edit access can add, modify, rename, move, or delete assets in the shared library. Users with view access can only use assets from the library without making changes.

Accept a library collaboration invitation

Launch the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app and sign in with your Adobe ID.

Select the notification bell icon .

Select Accept for each invitation.

The shared library appears in your Libraries panel across all Creative Cloud applications.

Stop sharing a library with specific users

In the Libraries panel, select the library you want to stop sharing.

Expand the panel menu and select Invite people.

On the Share Library page, locate the users you want to remove.

Delete each user's name from the list.

Remove a shared library

In the Libraries panel, select the library you want to remove.

Expand the panel menu and select Remove library.

Confirm your decision when prompted.

After removing the library, you no longer have access to its assets. If you need access again, the library owner must send a new invitation.

Delete a shared library

In the Libraries panel, select the library you want.

Expand the panel menu and select Delete library.

Select Delete to remove the library permanently.

Alert

Removing users immediately revokes their access to the library. They no longer see the library in their Libraries panel or receive updates. Only library owners can delete libraries. Deleting a shared library removes it for all collaborators and permanently deletes all contained assets. This action cannot be undone.
