Access locations

Access your Photoshop cloud documents through multiple entry points:

Automatically displays cloud documents saved from Photoshop.

Available workflows

Cloud documents support these core workflows in Photoshop desktop:

  • Create: Start new documents saved directly to cloud storage
  • Edit: Modify documents with automatic sync across devices
  • Save: Store work with continuous cloud backup
  • Rename: Update document names for better organization
  • Share: Collaborate with others through shared access
  • Move: Organize documents into folder structures
  • Delete: Remove documents temporarily or permanently
Note

Embedded Smart Objects are fully supported in cloud documents. Linked Smart Objects work only on the device where the cloud document was created.

Saving and format options

Save as a cloud document

Convert existing local files to cloud documents:

Select File > Save As

In the save dialog, select Save to cloud documents

Specify the save location and confirm

Save as local PSD

Save cloud documents as local files:

Select File > Save As

In the save dialog, select Save on your computer

Choose the Photoshop format and specify the local location

Documents created in Photoshop on iPad are automatically saved to the cloud by default and are accessible across all devices.

Multi-device editing

Version conflicts occur when simultaneous changes are made on different devices. Best practice: Verify your changes have synced to the cloud before resuming work on another device.

Access version history

Browse and restore previous versions through these methods:

Marked and renamed versions

Yes

Standard version history does not consume Creative Cloud storage. Only versions you explicitly mark or rename count toward your storage allocation.

Clear storage space

Deleted cloud documents remain in the Deleted section and continue consuming storage space until permanently removed.

To free storage:

Navigate to the Deleted section in the app home screen.

Select the three-dots icon below a document.

Select Permanently Delete.
