Learn how to access Adobe's CMM to maintain consistent color workflows outside Adobe applications.
Adobe Color Management Module (CMM) uses the same color transformation engine as Adobe applications. Use it to ensure consistent color interpretation across your entire workflow when working with third-party software or building custom color management solutions.
Adobe Photoshop and other Creative Cloud applications already include the Adobe CMM. Download the standalone version only when working with applications outside the Adobe ecosystem. You’ll need the following:
- Third-party application that supports CMM selection or custom software with CMM API access
- Administrator access to install system-level components
- ICC color profiles for your devices and output conditions
Download the Adobe CMM
Extract the downloaded package and follow the instructions in the Read Me document.
In your third-party application, configure the color management settings to use the Adobe CMM.
To verify the installation, check your application's color management settings. Adobe CMM should appear in the list of available color management modules.
Adobe CMM provides color transformation only. Your workflow still requires appropriate ICC color profiles for your devices and output conditions.
