Use the Adjustment Brush tool

Paint non-destructive local adjustments to specific areas of your image.
Use the Adjustment Brush Tool to make specific adjustments, such as brightening your subject's face or darkening the sky.
The Adjustment Brush tool applies changes only where you paint. This approach works best when you want to enhance specific areas while maintaining full control over your edits. Use this tool when you need to make localized adjustments such as, brightening or darkening a section without affecting the entire image.
The Adjustment Brush tool creates a new adjustment layer with a layer mask automatically, for each new adjustments to enforce non-destructive editing. The Contextual Task Bar or options bar helps you choose the adjustment options to refine the output.
Use the Adjustment Brush tool
Choose your desired Adjustment type, set the brush size, and hardness from the options bar. Adjustments are applied with default values; you can modify the values in Properties panel.
Select the Apply to object to apply your adjustment to a specific object in your image in one go.
Add/subtract from your adjustment, view on overlay, invert your selection, replace your existing adjustment type with a different adjustment, or add a new adjustment with the next Contextual Task Bar.
Tip
Start with a larger, softer brush to build up adjustments gradually. You can refine details later with a smaller brush.
