Invite others to edit images in cloud documents

Last updated on Oct 6, 2026

Learn how to invite collaborators to edit cloud documents in Adobe Photoshop.

Use Invite to Edit to give collaborators permission to edit a cloud document. Collaborators can edit the document one at a time, and changes are automatically synchronized.

Invite collaborators to edit a cloud document

Open your cloud document.

Select Share > Invite to Edit, or select File > Invite to Edit.

Enter one or more email addresses.

Select the Settings icon to configure access permissions.

(Optional) Enter a message in the Message box.

Select Invite to Edit.

Photoshop sends an email invitation to the collaborators.

Note

To remove a collaborator, open the Share document dialog box, hover over the collaborator's name, and select Remove. The document owner can't be removed.

If another collaborator is editing the document, Photoshop displays a version conflict message. Wait until editing is complete, or create a copy of the document to continue working independently.

Open a shared cloud document

Open the email invitation and select Open.

Select Open in, then select Photoshop.

You can also open a shared document from the Photoshop Home screen:

Select Files.

Select the Shared with you tab.

Select the document to open it.

Tip

Invitations also appear in the Creative Cloud desktop app. Select the Notifications icon to open shared documents.
