Learn how to download cloud documents to your device for editing in Adobe Photoshop without an internet connection.
Downloading cloud documents to your device ensures uninterrupted access to your work when traveling, on flights, or in areas with limited connectivity.
This procedure downloads a complete copy of your cloud document to your device's local storage. Use this when you anticipate working without internet access. For documents you only access occasionally, keep them as online-only to conserve local storage space. Note that downloading large cloud documents may take longer with slow internet connections.
Download cloud documents on desktop

Select the three dots icon below the cloud document thumbnail you want to download. |

Select Make available offline always from the menu. |
|
Open the document to begin editing offline. |
Your changes save locally while offline and automatically sync to the cloud when you reconnect to the internet.

Identify offline availability
Cloud document thumbnails display icons indicating their availability status:
- A green badge icon indicates the document is downloaded and available offline
- A cloud icon indicates the document is online-only and requires an internet connection
Return documents to online-only status
To free up local storage space, you can return downloaded documents to online-only status. Select the three-dots icon below the cloud document thumbnail and select Make online only (desktop) or Make online only (iPad). The document remains accessible in your cloud storage but won't be available without an internet connection.
