Layers snap back after moving them

When you drag layers, they unexpectedly snap back to their original position.

This issue may occur if you have one of the following apps/pieces of software installed on your computer:

  • iCopy
  • Synergy (mouse and keyboard sharing software)
  • ShareMouse
  • Older versions of the Wacom Intuos driver

Solution

Depending on why you're experiencing this issue with Photoshop, try one of the following solutions:

  • Install the latest driver for your Wacom Intuos device.
  • Update your video driver. If the problem persists, disable the Use Graphics Processor setting in Photoshop (Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor).
  • Uninstall/remove iCopy. Alternatively, check with the developer if a version compatible with Photoshop is available.
  • Uninstall/remove Synergy. Alternatively, check with the developer if a version compatible with Photoshop is available.
  • Uninstall/remove ShareMouse. Alternatively, check with the developer if a version compatible with Photoshop is available.
